What is a traverser? 

A traverser is a device used to move an inkjet printhead across an object to be printed. All of the traversers on this site have been designed for use with Domino A-Series inkjet printers, and have the following features:
  • Electric Drive offers programmable acceleration and deceleration which will not cause problems with the printhead or conduit which can be experienced with pneumatic traverse systems
  • Improved print quality due to smooth movement and the 'virtual encoder' function, on some models,which scales print during acceleration and deceleration
  • Safety - low powered axes minimise the risk of injury
  • Reduced running costs due to low current drives, substantially cheaper to run than pneumatic traverse devices
  • Simple installation, traversers mount onto either 25mm square or 32mm diameter rail systems
